New Heavy Flavor Contributions to the DIS Structure Function

چکیده

We report on recent results obtained for the massive Wilson coefficients which contribute to the structure function F 2 (x, Q 2) at O(α 3 s) in the region Q 2 /m 2 > ∼ 10. In the calculation new species of harmonic sums and harmonic polylogarithms generated by cyclotomic polynomials arise in intermediary results which are briefly discussed.

Twist – 2 Heavy Flavor Contributions to the Structure Function g 2 ( x , Q 2 )

The twist–2 heavy flavor contributions to the polarized structure function g2(x,Q 2) are calculated. We show that this part of g2(x,Q 2) is related to the heavy flavor contribution to g1(x,Q 2) by the Wandzura–Wilczek relation to all orders in the strong coupling constant.
